Reader in Law, University of Kent

Emily Grabham is a Reader in the Law School and a qualified solicitor. Prior to entering academia, Emily worked for two employment law and human rights NGOs in London. Emily's primary research areas include labour law, law and time, and legal anthropology. She is currently working on two projects:

1. 'Balancing Precarious Work and Care'. This 3 year project investigates casual workers' experiences of family-friendly rights. 2. 'Regulating Time: New Perspectives on Regulation, Law and Temporalities'. This 2 year interdisciplinary network focuses on how dominant concepts of time influence law and regulation. It is funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council and is a collaborative project with Dr Sian Beynon-Jones (sociology, University of York).
