Research Fellow, Mental Health and Addiction, University of York

Emily is a Research Fellow in the Mental Health and Addiction Research Group at the University of York’s Department of Health Sciences. Emily is currently involved in research relating to human-animal interactions and health and wellbeing.

Emily has a background in elderly care research and worked on the NIHR funded EPIC trial, evaluating the clinical and cost-effectiveness of Dementia Care Mapping™ for people with dementia living in care homes. Emily also designed and developed an evidence-based psychosocial intervention for people with dementia, and assessed its feasibility and acceptability in care settings.
