I am a Chartered Psychologist and Lecturer in Psychology at Liverpool John Moores University. I am also an Honorary Researcher at the Evidence Based Practice Unit (a collaboration between University College London and the Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families). My research focuses on child and adolescent mental health, with a particular emphasis on risk and resilience, examining the processes and mechanisms that contribute to the emergence of difficulties. Another key focus of my research is the trialling and evaluating of school-based mental health prevention and promotion interventions.
