Lecturer in French Studies, King's College London

I am a lecturer in French Studies at King's College London. My research focuses on the cultural history of the long nineteenth century, particularly on literature and its relationship with other cultural forms (material culture, film, journalism). I have published a number of articles on early twentieth-century French crime serials (Arsène Lupin, Fantômas, Chéri-Bibi, Rouletabille). I am currently writing a book about the pre-history of detective fiction in France.
