Dr Emma Nelson is Lecturer in Clinical Communication in the Institute of Clinical Sciences, University of Liverpool, UK. She also holds an honorary position in the Department of Archaeology, Classics and Egyptology at Liverpool. Her interests are broad, from understanding social behaviour in our earliest human ancestors through hormonal effects on hand development, to sexual differences in the limbs of amphibians, to anthropological links to vultures and cuckoos. She splits her time between anthropology research and delivering modules in communication for clinical practice in the MBChB (Medical) programme.
