I am a marine microbiologist. I have worked on marine sponges for over a decade. For 11 years (until 2021), I worked at the Australian Institute of Marine Science, where I was an Experimental Scientist. Over the last two years, I have been a Research Officer at the University of New South Wales, pursuing research on marine sponges and the symbiosis they form with their associated microbial communities.
