Erasmus zu Ermgassen

Researcher in Sustainable Food Systems, University of Cambridge

A qualified veterinarian, I recently completed a PhD in sustainable livestock production at the University of Cambridge.

My research has focused on evaluating three opportunities to make global livestock supply chains more sustainable, by (1) using modern technologies to safely recycle food waste as animal feed, (2) improving cattle ranching practices in the Brazilian Amazon, and (3) using big data approaches to increase the transparency of cattle and soy supply chains in Latin America.
