I am a political scientist who researches factors that shape public policy-making and government actions. I study politics, population health policy, crisis management, and public sector reforms. I have published research on knowledge utilization, experts in government, and policy-making related to national responses to the 2009 H1N1 flu pandemic and 2014 Ebola. I have also researched and published on public-private partnerships and contracting-out. I am currently researching and analyzing public policy related to anti-microbial resistance and the COVID-19 pandemic.
