Erika Harris is a Professor of Politics and a co-director of the Europe and the World Centre at the University of Liverpool. Her interest in post-communist transitions generally and the role of nationalism in those transitions in particular began with her doctoral thesis on Slovakia and Slovenia. Her research then expanded into the role of identity in international relations and re-examination of theories of nationalism. Currently she is working on politics of ethno-national groups within and beyond their states.
