Research Associate, International Ocean Discovery Program, University of Leicester

I am a research associate working with the ECORD Science Operator (ESO) and the International Ocean Discovery Program (IODP). My role as part ESO is to collect petrophysical data on cores and downhole logging data.

Since I joined in 2015, I have been involved in 4 IODP expeditions, on the operational side:

IODP/ESO 357 onshore, core physical properties.
IODP/ESO 364 offshore and onshore, core physical properties and downhole wireline logging.
IODP/ESO 381 offshore and onshore, core physical properties and downhole wireline logging.
IODP/CDEX 358, logging while drilling.

After a BSc in environmental engineering and an MSc in geological resources in France, I obtained a PhD at the Royal Holloway University of London. My doctoral research focused on Neoproterozoic strata from Namibia and Zambia, I have been looking at the macro and microfacies of microbial carbonates.
