Etse Sikanku

Etse Sikanku obtained his PhD in Journalism and Mass Communication from the University of Iowa. He holds a Masters degree in Journalism and Communication Studies from Iowa the University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Sociology from the University of Ghana, Legon. He received the 2011 outstanding doctoral student award for research from the school of Journalism and Communication at the
University of Iowa.

He is a national and international scholar with both practical and professional research experience. He has published in reputed journalism such as the International Journal for Communication and
Research, the Journal of Black Studies and the Legon Journal for International Affairs and Diplomacy.

Dr Sikanku has made several national and international presentations on issues in media and communications at conferences such as the International Communication Association and National Communication
Association. His main area of teaching and consultancy practice is in research methods, quantitative and qualitative research of communication materials, advertising and public policy communication.
