Farah Hussain is a PhD Researcher at the School of Politics and International Relations at Queen Mary, University of London. Her PhD research explores the experience of Muslim women in the Labour Party using an intersectional theoretical framework. Her research interests include British politics, party politics, feminism, race and politics and local government.

Farah teaches undergraduate modules on political theory and British politics. She is also a research assistant on projects related to building back better after a year of the pandemic and wellbeing and place shaping in local government.

Farah is elected local Councillor for Valentines Ward, London Borough of Redbridge.
