Febi Dwirahmadi

Dr Febi Dwirahmadi lectures in Global Health, Griffith School of Medicine. Dr Dwirahmadi’s fields of expertise include: global health, emergency response operations, disaster risk reduction, climate change adaptation, health program planning and evaluation, community participation and development. Originally from Indonesia, he has worked for many years for the International Federation for Red Cross and Red Crescent (IFRC) Indonesian delegation office and includes experience in the following agencies: Jakarta Disaster Management Agency; Jakarta Environmental Management Agency; Institute for Essential Services Reform; and Islamic Relief Humanitarian NGO, Aceh. Dr Dwirahmadi has a deep understanding of the Indonesian context and his PhD research was collaborative governance model to link between climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction and community resilience development to build urban community resilience.

Within the Centre for Environment and Population Health (CEPH), Dr Dwirahmadi works to develop and strengthen partnership with Indonesian institution in the field of Global Health Security. He also active in initiating collaboration with partner universities in Indonesia with priority focus to develop joint master degree programs, joint research, and short courses. Within School of Medicine, Dr Dwirahmadi convene, teach and contribute to curriculum development, course guide, course website for the Health Program Planning and Evaluation and Disaster Management and Resilience Building Courses; and convene and teach the Global Health: Priorities and Interventions program. Dr Dwirahmadi conducts research and produce papers for publication in the fields of climate change adaptation, disaster risk reduction, and collaborative governance to build community resilience; mentor and provide guidance to PhD and Master students
