Federico Frattini

Dean of POLIMI Graduate School of Management (formerly MIP Politecnico di Milano).

A long experience at Politecnico di Milano, covering many qualifying roles: started as Assistant Professor, he is now Full Professor of Strategic Management and Innovation, Member of the management committee of POLIMI Graduate School of Management

At Politecnico di Milano he also co-founded Energy & Strategy, a research team that analyzes the business models and the technological and innovation choices of the companies in the field of renewable energy, energy efficiency, smart grid, digital energy and others. He has been Deputy Director of Energy & Strategy since 2007.

His passion in research is confirmed by the appointment as Honorary Researcher at the University of Lancaster Management School and by the nomination among the Top 50 Researchers of Technology and Innovation Management worldwide by the International Association for Management of Technology (IAMOT).

He is editor of 2 books and over 200 articles published in different national and international scientific review, edited books and conference proceedings.

His research activity has contributed to the rise of various publications on practitioners-oriented journals including cui Harvard Business Review, MIT Sloan Management Review, California Management Review, European Business Review, Harvard Business Manager and Il Sole 24 Ore.

He is Associate Editor of CERN IdeaSquare Journal of Experimental Innovation and Member of the Editorial Board of the European Journal of Innovation Management. He is also engaged as a reviewer for several international scientific journals, such as Journal of Management Studies, Journal of Business Venturing, Research Policy, Journal of Product Innovation Management and many others.
