Senior research officer, University of Newcastle

Dr Felicia Jaremus is a Postdoctoral researcher with the Teachers and Teaching Research Centre in the School of Education. Felicia's doctoral research investigated senior secondary mathematics participation, with a focus on gender. Conferred in 2020, her thesis was awarded the School of Education Best Thesis Award (2021), and the Australian Council of Deans of Education Postgraduate Student/Early Career Researcher Poster Award (2019). She was also awarded the University of Newcastle, Faculty of Education and Arts RHD Publication Prize and the 3-Minute Thesis Peoples’ Choice Award.

Felicia was also awarded both university and faculty medals as well as the Mathematics Association of NSW Teacher
Education Prize and the University of Newcastle Prize for the Bachelor of Teaching (Mathematics)
