My PhD was entitled Moral Obligations in Foreign Policy: The Case of British Arms Sales to Indonesia, and examined the issue of moral complexity in foreign policy. This built on work done for my Masters degree on the moral issues surrounding British aid policy.
My research background is in international ethics, with particular emphasis on the ethical possibilities of international society. I have also written in the past on Indonesia, having researched the nature of the regime. My current research interests have moved more towards Universal Jurisdiction and the limits and possibilities of international criminal law within an international society of states.'
