Fleur is a co-teacher in the English Education team of the Faculty of Education at Monash University in 2015 and 2016.

Fleur worked as an English and Humanities teacher in Independent schools in Melbourne for 14 years. She has worked as a Team Leader for Theory of Knowledge (TOK) in an IB school, and taught in both the VCE and IB matriculation programs. Her publications are in the areas of feminist poetics, and critical approaches to Young Adult literature.

Her current research is focussed on English teachers' practices around the teaching of literary texts, and how they develop pedagogies for incorporating both traditional and emergent reading practices. This project is being conducted with reference to the impact of standards based reforms on teacher professional identity and practice.
