I'm a research geologist with the U.S. Geological Survey Alaska Science Center. I have more than 40 years of experience working in Alaska conducting research in geochronology, resource assessment, and most importantly, geologic mapping. With time, I have become a generalist, rather than becoming more specialized. I have a B.S. in geology from Michigan Technological University, an M.S. in geology from the University of Alaska, and a Ph.D. in geology from Dartmouth College. I was the USGS lead for the production of the Geological Map of the Arctic, published by the Geological Survey of Canada.
