Gabe Mythen

Gabe Mythen is a Professor in the Department of Sociology, Social Policy and Criminology at the University of Liverpool. His research focuses on the impacts of risk on everyday life across a range of domains, including national security, crime, politics and welfare. He has developed expertise in the ways in which threats are socially constructed and symbolically represented, how risks are perceived by different cultural groups and the forms of regulation deployed by government and criminal justice agencies seeking to control risks.
