Gabrielle Hosein

Gabrielle Jamela Hosein is a Caribbean feminist activist, writer and scholar. She has been part of Caribbean feminist movement-building for twenty years and is currently Head of the Institute for Gender and Development Studies, at The University of the West Indies St. Augustine Campus in Trinidad and Tobago. Her main research areas are politics and governance, and Indo-Caribbean feminisms. Her column, 'Diary of a Mothering Worker' is published weekly in the Trinidad Guardian newspaper and is open-access on her blog 'grrlscene'.
