Undergraduate honours degree (Economics) from Melbourne University; Ph D from Monash University (Australia); post doctoral fellowship from Cambridge University. 18 years as Director at GATT and WTO and 2 years as Senior Counsellor to WTO DG. 2001 to present: Teaching in the Executive MBA program of LSE (TRIUM). 2005 to present: John Gough Professor of International Trade at Melbourne Business School, Melbourne University. Have published 11 books (principally international economics), numerous articles in referred journals and write regularly for the press.
