Gay Seidman

My research has generally focused on labor, social movements, gender issues and consumer-based movements in the global South, especially South Africa and Brazil. In addition to two comparative studies (Manufacturing Militance, 1994; and Beyond the Boycott, 2007), my work has appeared in Politics & Society, Third World Quarterly, J. of Social Research, Feminist Studies, Signs and other academic journals.
