Gene is a clinical psychologist, associate professor, and associate head of the School of Psychology at Charles Sturt University. Gene's areas of research focus are rural mental health, high prevalence psychological disorders, and the interaction between psychology and law enforcement and emergency service personnel. Clinically Gene has specialised in working with people with anxiety, trauma and depressive disorders.
