Professor of English, Arizona State University

George Justice is professor of English at Arizona State University. From 2013 to 2017, he served as Dean of Humanities and Associate Vice President for Arts and Humanities. A specialist in 18th-century British literature, Professor Justice is the author and editor of scholarship on the literary marketplace, authorship, and women's writing. Prior to coming to ASU, Justice taught at the University of Pennsylvania, Marquette University, Louisiana State University, and the University of Missouri, where he also served as vice provost for advanced studies and dean of the Graduate School. His book, How to Be a Dean, was published in 2019 by the Johns Hopkins University Press.
