George Lane is a Senior Teaching Fellow in the History of the Middle East and Central Asia. His research interests are in the history of The Middle East and Central Asia, Mediaeval Iran and the Mongol Empire.

He is also a member of the London Middle East Institute (LMEI) and the Centre for Iranian Studies.
