George Olusegun Ademowo

Professor of Pharmacology, University of Ibadan

I Olusegun George Ademowo is a Professor of Pharmacology and Therapeutics in the College of Medicine, University of Ibadan, Nigeria. My research interest is in malaria chemotherapy, drug resistance, search for new agents against malaria especially from plant products and development of diagnostics for infectious diseases including malaria.
I am a malaria vaccine advocacy fellow and coordinated the framework for introduction of malaria vaccine in Nigeria. I have participated in research that influenced policy decision on malaria control. My research is being funded by World Health Organisation, World Bank and European Union among others. I have mentored more than seventy postgraduate students and published over one hundred articles in peer review journals.
