Georgia Alida du Plessis

Research Fellow, University of Antwerp (Belgium) and University of the Free State (South Africa), University of the Free State

Georgia Alida du Plessis is from South Africa and holds an LLB and LLM degree from the University of the Free State. She also holds a joint PhD at the University of Antwerp, Belgium and VUB (Belgium)

Until January 2016 she worked as a lecturer at the University of the Free State, South Africa. Until 2020 she worked as postdoctoral scholar at the Faculty of Canon Law, KU Leuven. She is currently a research fellow at the University of the Free State and the University of Antwerp (Belgium).

In her position as researcher and lecturer, she published several articles and presented several papers on human rights and the right to freedom of religion or belief.
