Georgia Soldatos

Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor, School Public Health and Preventative Medicine, Monash University

A/Prof Georgia Soldatos completed her MBBS with first class honours in 1997 and then went on to complete advanced training, including a PhD examining the role of AGEs in diabetic vascular disease. She is currently the Program Director, Acute, Subacute and Community, Deputy Director of Diabetes and Head of the Diabetes In Pregnancy Service at Monash Health. She is also a Research Fellow at Monash Centre for Health Research and Implementation, at Monash University – in partnership with Monash Health. Georgia's main research interests include healthcare improvement, with a focus on improving inpatient management of diabetes, management of diabetes in the elderly as well as preventing hospital presentations by improving access to services for those with chronic disease as well as other vulnerable members of the community. Georgia has led the development and implementation of the COVID-19 model of care at her health service.

Finally, she has an interest in the development of alternate models of care for women with GDM and is involved in PhD supervision as well as education and training.
