Gilberto Roque is a Cinematographer/Director with a Background in documentaries, film production, journalism, and commercial projects.
He served as the Cinematographer/Associate Producer for "SORELLA’S STORY," an immersive 360-degree film that celebrated its World Premiere In Competition with the esteemed Venice Immersive, held during the 79th Venice International Film Festival.
In recognition of his outstanding contributions, Gilberto was honoured with the esteemed 2022 Australian Cinematography Society Gold Award in the category of Art Innovation Cinematography (ACS)QLD.

Gilberto's educational journey spans continents and disciplines. He engaged in studies encompassing journalism and film in Brazil, while also pursuing a deep exploration of drama at the National Conservatory of Drama in Dublin. His commitment to artistic growth culminated in the attainment of a Master of Advanced Screen Production from Australia's Griffith Film School. This comprehensive education has empowered him to seamlessly collaborate with both emerging and established directors.

Gilberto's dedication to the craft extends to academia as well. He currently serves as a Casual Lecturer at the University of Southern Queensland, where he shares his expertise with the next generation of storytellers.
