Dr Giovanni Di Lieto lectures international trade law in the Bachelor of International Business program at Monash University in Melbourne. His early professional career developed in the logistics industry in the US, Europe and China. His research agenda focuses on the international regulation of trade and labour markets. In 2016 he has published a book, 'Migrant Labour Law: Unfolding Justice at Work for Migrants', which was awarded the inaugural Holt Prize for best legal manuscript by The Federation Press. Also, he is the co-author of an international trade law textbook to be published by The Federation Press in 2018. He is a council member of the Australian Institute of International Affairs (AIIA-Victoria) and a commissioning editor of its online publication, Australian Outlook. He regularly comments on international economics in the media.
