Glenn Scott is a former metro columnist, reporter and editor for The Modesto Bee and business reporter for The Honolulu Advertiser. He worked in Japan as a copy editor at Nikkei Weekly and as Tokyo bureau chief for Pacific Stars & Stripes. He has written for sports magazines, covered four Olympic Summer Games and also served as sports information manager for volleyball at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics.

His research interests involve media-related issues in the Asia-Pacific region as well as the emergence of citizen journalism and the changing roles of professional journalists. He came to Elon in 2004.
