Senior University Teacher in Operations Management and Continuous Improvement, University of Sheffield

Dr Graeme Heron lectures in Operations Management, Supply Chains, Research Methods and Manufacturing Systems. As part of his civic activities Graeme sits on the Awarding Panel of the Department of Education’s Institute of Apprenticeships & Technical Education’s Logistics and Supply Chain Board. Graeme is also a trustee of a charity which re-provisions surplus food from the UKs food manufacturing and retail systems, to alleviate food insecurity and food poverty.

Graeme has many years of experience across manufacturing sectors as both an engineer and supply chain manager. Graeme’s research interests include sustainable supply chains, food supply chains, data commoditisation to reduce food wastes and impacts, freight transport systems and applied Theory of Constraints development. Graeme is also an active member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport (CILT) UK.
