Research Fellow, University of Adelaide

I am an earth scientist who conducts research on the geochemistry of geological and environmental samples. My research broadly centres around the interaction between solid earth processes, such as tectonics and magmatism, with the Earth’s oceans, atmosphere and climate. Specifically, this work involves investigations into continental weathering, sedimentary provenance, sequence stratigraphy, sedimentary basin development, the development and distribution of black shales, ocean redox and the rise of atmospheric oxygen.

I studied business at Charles Sturt University and both chemistry and geology at the University of Adelaide. This was followed by postgraduate research at McGill University and I held the position of Vanier Scholar with the National Research Council of Canada. Since relocating back to Australia I have held research positions at both Curtin University and University of Adelaide.
