Professor of Finance, King's College London

I am an economist working at the intersection of macroeconomics and finance, at King's College, London. I hold a BSc in Economics from METU, Ankara Turkey and MSc in Economics from the University of Warwick. I completed my PhD at York and have taught at various institutions, including University of Durham, METU, University of York, and King's College, London where I currently hold a Chair in Finance.

My main research interests are macroeconomics, political economy and international finance. More specifically my research has focussed on currency and financial crises, monetary policy, politics and policy making, macroprudential policy, fiscal austerity and recently on Covid-19 and the Macroeconomy.
