Lecturer in Philosophy, University of Birmingham

Before coming to Birmingham I was a doctoral candidate in the Philosophy faculty at the University of Oxford. During this time I was also a Postgraduate Research Fellow at the Parliamentary Office of Science and Technology in Westminster, London.

I am currently teaching the final year UG module, Bodies and Beauty. From September 2018 I will also be teaching the first year UG module, Moral Problems, and the postgraduate module, Bioethics.

My research explores the ethical dimensions of contemporary practical issues, such as punishment, health, and work. I am also particularly interested in perspectives on the body, as well as theories of justice more generally.
