Hagos Abrha Abay

Dr Hagos Abrha Abay is a Ge'ez philologist who has served as an ass. professor at Mekelle University (Tigray, Ethiopia). He is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Hamburg, Center for the Study of Manuscript Culture (CSMC), under 'Cluster of Excellence'. He is the founder, and was director, of St Yared Center for Ethiopian Philology and Manuscript Studies (Mekelle University). He has participated in, and coordinated, research projects related to Ge’ez manuscript studies and digitization, philology, language and culture.
