Postdoctoral researcher, Department of Food Science, UMass Amherst

Haixia obtained her B.S. degree in Marine Biotechnology (2005) from Tianjin University of Science and Technology and her Ph.D. degree in Food science (2011) from China Agricultural University. She is now a postdoctoral researcher in the Food Science Department at the UMass Amherst. Her research focuses on the effects and mechanisms of some environmental factors, such as antibacterial agents, on inflammation and cancer using primary cell culture and animal models.
