Assistant Professor of Geography, University of Miami

Han Li is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Geography and Regional Studies. Relying on the technical advancements in big data technology, GIS spatial modeling, remote sensing, and spatial econometrics, his research examines the spatial organization of human economic activity in an urban environment of China, Southeast Asia, and the United States. His current research focuses on sea-level rise, climate gentrification, and urban inequality in South Florida. This project aims to understand the unique dynamics and consequences of climate gentrification in Miami to establish an innovative connection between climate change and urban inequality.
