PhD Researcher, Loughborough University

Hana is a PhD Research Student in the Wolfson School of Mechanical, Electrical and Manufacturing Engineering at Loughborough University. She started her studies in October 2017.

Hana is passionate about sustainability. Her research interests focus on sustainability in manufacturing: Is it possbile to reconcile the financial business models of manufacturers largely based on profit for shareholders with the environmental and social needs of stakeholders to prevent further degradation of the environment and reverse dysfunctional societal trends?

She has researched sustainability in food chains and the challenges facing modern food manufacturers, including how to improve productivity using fewer resources, limit food waste, improve the resilience of food supply chains, localise food production, and use new sustainable sources of nutrition to provide customised food products.
