Dr Hana Trollman is a Lecturer in Food Industry Management at the School of Animal, Rural and Environmental Sciences, Nottingham Trent University.

Hana is passionate about sustainability. Her research interests focus on sustainability in manufacturing: Is it possbile to reconcile the financial business models of manufacturers largely based on profit for shareholders with the environmental and social needs of stakeholders to prevent further degradation of the environment and reverse dysfunctional societal trends?

She has researched sustainability in food chains and the challenges facing modern food manufacturers, including how to improve productivity using fewer resources, limit food waste, improve the resilience of food supply chains, localise food production, and use new sustainable sources of nutrition to provide customised food products.
