PhD Candidate, Sustainability Research Institute, University of Leeds

Hanna is a conservation social scientist with a background in Global Studies and Human Ecology. Her PhD project “The Future of Human-Carnivore Interactions in Europe” explores the dynamics between returning wolves, managing authorities and rural communities in northern and central Spain, with an emphasis on identifying pathways to coexistence, the factors that enable mutual adaptation and how these can be reinforced. The first set of results has now been published in Frontiers in Conservation Science (co-authored with Spanish wolf researcher José López Bao) and in Conservation and Society in 2021.
