Happy Kayuni

Happy Kayuni holds a PhD (Political Science) from University of the Western Cape and is Professor of Political Science in University of Malawi's Department of Political and Administrative Studies. Before joining University of Malawi he worked as Research Assistant in various research projects under Center for Social Research, Center for Language Studies, Gender Policy Unit and Save the Children (US) - in collaboration with University of North Carolina. He has co-edited a book and authored (or co-authored) over forty peer reviewed journal articles and book chapters as well as over eighty research/ consultancy reports or conference papers. His area of specialization include: trans-border ethnic identity, gender in politics, party politics, public management and governance, and development policy. Prof. Kayuni is also Faculty Affiliate in the University of Oslo’s SDG initiative Programme at Centre for Development and the Environment (SUM).
