Harjinder Kaur-Aujla

Lecturer in Mental Health, University of Birmingham

Harj is a lecturer in Mental Health Nursing and Doctoral Researcher in the area of Domestic Violence and Abuse in the Sikh Community at the University of Birmingham. She has worked in mental health services for over 20 years and is an accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist with the British Association of Behavioural and Counselling Psychotherapy, (BABCP). She completed her MSc (Advancing Practice) at University of Birmingham and, aside from her wide variety of clinical work, has engaged in many equality initiatives from a policy perspective. She is currently undertaking a PhD in Sikh Domestic Violence and Mental Health.
