Harry Dillon was a professional journalist for 25 years before becoming a full-time journalism lecturer at Charles Sturt University Bathurst in 2000. Apart from a professional/academic interest in the media, his main focus is on history. He co-wrote a biography of Governor Lachlan Macquarie that was published in 2010 by Random House Australia.
