Hassan Khannenje

Dr Hassan Khannenje is Director of the HORN International Institute for Strategic Studies, a research and policy think-tank based in Nairobi, Kenya. He is an author, consultant and practitioner specialising in conflict analysis and resolution, diplomacy and foreign affairs, peace and security, terrorism and violent extremism. He is an adjunct professor of Peace and Conflict Studies at Wayne State University.

Dr Khannenje also advises Kenya’s ministries of Interior Coordination and National Government, Defence, and Foreign Affairs. In addition, he is an expert consultant with various Kenyan and international media houses on issues of conflict, terrorism, security, and diplomacy.
