Professor (Adjunct) in Infectious Diseases Epidemiology, Australian National University

For 14 years Heath Kelly was head of the epidemiology unit at the Victorian Infectious Diseases Reference Laboratory (VIDRL), a state reference laboratory with a number of designated WHO affiliations. Prior to this he worked as a public health physician in regional Western Australia. Dr Kelly has undergraduate qualifications in mathematics (UNSW) and medicine (UWA) and post-graduate qualifications in public health (UWA). He has honorary appointments as Associate Professor at the Universities of Melbourne and Western Australia and at the Australian National University. His general research interests are in the surveillance and control of infectious diseases with specific interests in influenza, polio, measles, TB and hepatitis B.
