Dr Heather Stewart is a Lecturer at Griffith University in the Department of International Business and Asian Studies (IBAS), in the Griffith Business School and member of the Griffith Centre for Sustainable Enterprise. Prior to coming to Griffith, Heather had more than 15 years of management experience in both corporate and small business.
Heather is a researcher working in qualitative data collection and analysis and has established a publishing profile in high level CSR and sustainable business journals. Her focus is on qualitative research of collaboration, continual learning and sustainable management practices in the SME context. This includes organisational development; CSR and ethics in terms of SME practice and development; management issues such as collaboration, continual learning, problem solving and application of sustainable management practices; higher education learning and teaching strategies and practices; and teaching communities and practices within the online environment.
In her teaching role, Heather has developed a strong presence in the online teaching environment in the management discipline that reflects her research profile. Heather was recently awarded a Griffith Excellence in Teaching Priority Area (Online Teaching) Award. and has received a Teaching Excellence Recognition Scheme (TERS) award each year since its introduction.
