Hera Cook

Hera Cook is a senior lecture in the Department of Public Health, University of Otago Wellington Medical School. She trained in the UK gaining a B.A. (Hons, 1st class) Birkbeck College, University of London and a Ph.D. in Modern HIstory at the University of Sussex, 1999, which explained how effective contraception transformed sexual mores. She began research into firearms policy because she believed that it was highly likely there would be another massacre given the absence of effective gun control laws.
