I am a social scientist and biologist. My dissertation, The Underbelly of Economy versus Environment Conflicts: Detangling Sources of Tension in Contentious Natural Resource Decisions, looked at media effects, values, sense of place, networks of relationships, and perceptions of science for two energy projects - one renewable, the other fossil fuel-based. My post-doctoral fellowship involves conducting developmental and principle-focused evaluation for the Environment, Community and Health Observatory (ECHO) project - a pan-Canadian project with reach into New Zealand, Australia and Hawaii.
