Hongyi Li is Lecturer of Economics at the UNSW Australia Business School. He received his PhD from Harvard University in 2011, and was a postdoctoral associate at MIT Sloan from 2011 - 2012.

Hongyi's research focuses on organisational and managerial economics. He has written on topics such as the boundary of the firm, knowledge diffusion in organizations, and competition in large markets. He has published in journals such as the Journal of Economic Theory and Management Science.

His work has been featured in outlets such as the Financial Times and the Wall Street Journal.
