Her research aims to inform policy and practice to improve wellbeing of vulnerable populations including the poor, children, and people with disability in developing countries.

Her current research measures global trends, particularly transitions in child poverty, and investigates some factors that can affect children (health insurance and conflict).

She teaches introductory-level microeconomics and statistics.
